How To Apply
Attending WAU
We are glad that you are considering joining the Washington Adventist University family. There are four applications for admission to Washington Adventist University. The one you will complete will be based on your school of interest. Please read the descriptions below and select the one that best fits your needs and eligibility.
Application Procedure for All Applicants
Application Form:
Complete and submit the official application form.Â
Application Fee:
The application fee
is $35.
Test Scores: ACT or SAT scores are only required for scholarship consideration but is optional.
Official Transcripts:
Submit your high school transcript; seniors can send partial, but final is required before registration. College transcripts are also required, with international ones needing a WES ICAP/ACEI Course-by-Course evaluation.
Unofficial may be submitted for admissions decision.
Recommendation Letter: Provide one academic recommendation from a principal, dean, teacher, or counselor from your last school. If you’ve been out of school for over four years, a letter from another adult who knows your abilities is acceptable.
Educational Background Summary: If you were educated outside the United States, include a summary of your educational background.Â

Freshman Undergraduate Students
If you plan to start WAU as a Freshman undergraduate student and plan to attend daytime classes that are a part of the School of Arts and Social Sciences or the School of Health Professions, Science & Wellness, please complete our Freshmen Undergraduate Application.
Transfer, International or Previously (WAU) Enrolled Students (Undergraduate Only)
If you plan to start WAU as a Transfer, International, or were previously enrolled( at WAU) as an undergraduate student and plan to attend daytime classes that are a part of the School of Arts and Social Sciences or the School of Health Professions, Science & Wellness, please complete our Transfer, International, or previously enrolled (at WAU) Undergraduate Application.
Admission of ESL Students | English as Second Language
Do you want to learn English in an exciting location surrounded by cultural diversity, art, and historical monuments in Washington DC, near the US capital? Our ESL program is your best choice to learn the language in this unique environment with excellent opportunities.
